For the 17th of May 2018, the Association of German Manufactories had invited to the awards “Manufactory of the Year” and “Manufactory Product of the Year”. The event took place as part of the 10th Future Forum German Manufactories in the furnace hall of the Poschinger glass factory in Frauenau.
In addition to other very beautiful manufactory products, our weather station 801 was also awarded on this evening. The jury awarded the special prize “Sustainability” to the relaunch of the 1970s FISCHER classic.

Weather station 801 in the FISCHER catalog 1970
These days the Summer Catalog 2018 of MANUFACTUM has been published. To find: A detailed presentation of our manufactory of fine mechanical instruments. For almost 20 years we have been one of the suppliers of MANUFACTUM.
In connection with this manufacturer portrait also our outdoor weather station 801 was presented.
This means that seven measuring devices made by FISCHER can now be found in the MANUFACTUM range.
We recently did get the following review of our flagship 103PM from Michael Brown [USA]. Needless to say that we were very happy about this review and the thanks:
„I purchased barometer 103pm serial # 3548 from starpath via ambient weather. I have waited many years to obtain a precision aneroid barometer and am pleased to report the instrument is spectacular in accuracy. I find the workmanship to be absolutely fantastic as well.
I wanted to contact you directly to express my thanks for producing such a fine instrument. I am very proud to own it and especially enjoy its design as well as the execution. Well done!
And again, thank you for producing such a fine instrument. Superior workmanship and design seems ever rarer in this world of mere consumables.
Please communicate my delight to your workers…they deserve praise for doing such a fine job. Again, thank you!!!“
